Bio
Dr. Neenah Aguirre-Wong was born and raised in Miami, FL. She moved to Portland, OR to obtain her Bachelor's degree in Biology, and completed research and a thesis at Reed College. During her time as a medical scribe, her greatest mentor was a Podiatrist, who ignited a passion for improving quality of life for patients with foot and ankle ailments. She went on to complete her doctorate at the Arizona School of Podiatric Medicine in Phoenix, AZ and a surgical residency at Legacy Health in Portland OR. Her residency training encompassed a broad spectrum of clinical and surgical foot and ankle pathologies, with an emphasis on considering each patient's individual circumstances, concerns, priorities, and overall health.
In Her Practice
She is board qualified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and Foot & Ankle Surgery. Her training and experience covers a wide range, including:
- Preventative diabetic foot exams and care
- Diabetic limb salvage involving forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle
- Common pediatric ailments (Sever's disease, sports injuries, ingrown toenails, flat feet, plantar warts)
- Sports injury prevention and treatment for Athletes
- Trauma (ankle sprains, fractures, etc.)
- Arthritis
- Other common podiatric issues (plantar fasciitis/heel pain, Achilles tendinitis/ruptures, flat feet, high arches, bunions, hammertoes, neuromas, etc.)
- Training in arthroscopy, total ankle replacements, joint salvage, lower extremity reconstruction with external-fixation
Dr. Aguirre-Wong speaks both English and Spanish. Her approach is tailored to each individual patient, and takes into account their unique concerns and overall mind and body health. She prides herself on hard work and the ability to make a meaningful contribution in the lives of the people she meets. She will take time to evaluate the issue at hand, explain it in easy to understand terms, and provide a thorough treatment plan that her patients are happy with.
When she's not with her patients, she enjoys quality time with family and friends, international travel, surfing, and working in her garden. She is excited to meet, educate, and treat patients in Camarillo and Thousand Oaks.
